The Premise
Most conversations about "AI-native" focus on what AI can do. They miss the critical question: what has AI been trained to believe?
Every large language model has been trained on millions of documents, articles, blog posts, and business content. That training data has patterns. And those patterns carry assumptions about how business works.
The problem: those assumptions are often the exact mental models that organizations need to escape.
The Training Data Problem

Who does what when is irrelevant to architecture. The system determines execution order based on dependencies. Humans provide direction and handle the work that requires trust.
What This Means For You
If you're adopting AI for business transformation, understand this:
The AI will recommend the same patterns you're stuck in, because that's what training data taught it.
Prompts create temporary context. Training data biases reassert the moment there's ambiguity.
Build systems that catch training data habits and correct them before they become implementation.
Your target operating modelβthe language, the mental models, the patternsβmust be architecturally enforced.
